The burn ban is off! The burn ban is off!

After over a year, the Washington County burn ban is finally off! It was like Christmas had come two weeks early for my dad. We drove up Saturday morning and Pascal helped my dad burn a year's worth of brush and logs.

The cows were excited, too, apparently. They kept getting way too close to the fire. See Elizabeth back there in the smoke? It was HOT near the fire and she kept scooting up next to it. Weird cow.

While Pascal and my dad were making sure they didn't set Brenham on fire, my mom and I went to see the Chappel Hill Holiday Home Tour. The houses were beautiful!

This (along with the white tree in the picture below) is a feather Christmas tree- the first kind of artificial Christmas tree! Most of the houses were decorated to be true to their original furniture, decorations, etc. from the mid-late 1800's.
