Michelle visits!

This past weekend Michelle came to visit! On Friday we spent the day in Davis, walking around town, eating lunch at Burgers & Brew, walking along Putah Creek, going to Happy Hour, and then making dinner with Pascal and getting dessert at Ciocolat. Michelle is a TA for the UT ballroom class, so that night she also gave me and Pascal a 2-stepping dance lesson! On Saturday we spent the day in Sacramento, rafting down the American River and sitting in the hot tub at Connor's place. Floating the river in Sacramento is pretty different from floating the Texas rivers. The American river, for example, has "mud island" where everyone stands around and mud wrestles...

On Sunday we went to Berkeley and San Francisco. In Berkeley we walked around campus, showed Michelle the crack in the stadium, ate hotdogs and saw amazing views of the city from the top of the Berkeley hills. In San Francisco, we went through China Town, walked up the stairs to Coit Tower, visited the belching sea lions at pier 39, walked up Lombard St, ate ice cream in Ghirardelli square, and had dinner with Michael Fairley, his sister, and her husband in Little Italy. Michelle left early Monday morning, and soon I will follow her to Texas so I can go to Italy, Croatia, and Greece with my family!
